You won't be far from trails that provide great ATV and snowmobile riding depending on the season. You also won't be far from the bigger Twin Lakes in Lewiston, as well as lots of great restaurants and bars in town. If you enjoy golfing - or possibly just fine dining - you're just a couple of miles from the well-regarded Garland resort. Additionally, you're only a half hour drive from the Cedar Valley Fun Park in Comins, a small amusement park that can be a fun break from the peace and quiet at Moon Lake.
You're definitely not far from Moon Lake, in this waterfront home! Moon Lake is a smaller, private, no-wake lake situated just outside the city of Lewiston. The house itself has a gorgeous view of the lake. It features a seasonal dock, a fire pit, a paddle boat, and some kayaks to help enjoy the up-north lake experience. There's great fishing on Moon Lake during the summer and I'm told ice fishing is good during the winter. We have heard and seen many interesting birds from the deck.
The house is well appointed for cooking with a large, natural gas grill and a large natural gas Blackstone outside, a dishwasher, air fryer, gas stove and convection oven and otherwise well-stocked kitchen.
A hot tub that's open year round is nestled under the second story deck and is a great place to stare at the nighttime sky. It has a great view of the sunrise, too!
The living room features comfy couches and an efficient and easy-to-use wood burning fireplace insert for cold winter nights.
The queen beds are both adjustable for those who have difficulty finding just the right position to sleep.
The lower level features a large common area with several futons, a very easy-to-use pellet stove, a second bathroom with heated floors, and a third bedroom.
During the summer, there's a glider on the front porch for watching the sun set, plenty of tables and chairs and a fire pit out back. Your view of the nighttime sky, without the light pollution you might be familiar with elsewhere, is incredible.
Additionally, in the summer, there is a heated community pool available and located nearby. Available during daytime hours, in good weather, from Memorial day thru Labor Day.
The Moon Lake neighborhood is a very pleasant walking community. We enjoy the friendly passing conversations and the wildlife. Eagles are not an uncommon sighting here.
Lewiston has some very nice dining and tavern options. Located very close to the Garland Lodge and Golf Resort. The area is very peaceful and not short on things to do, if you're of a mind to leave the peace and quiet of Moon Lake.

Summary: We came to this cabin for 8 days to celebrate our anniversary. The cabin was beautiful and cozy with a beautiful view of Moon Lake. The bird show all week was quite impressive! There were a lot of woodpeckers, including pileated and red headed. Also, orioles, rose breasted grosbeaks, chickadees, tanagers, and of course the beautiful loons who answered our calls. The weather was very uncooperative and the gnats made it hard to stay outside for long, but we made the best of it. Played cards and board games, and got very competitive with Shut the Box! Lewiston and the surrounding area is beautiful lake country. We enjoyed some very nice restaurants, especially Lewiston Lodge which is located right on beautiful East Twin Lake! We took a road trip to Alpena and drove up the scenic road all the way to Black Lake. That was a very memorable vacation spot for me growing up! Again the cabin was everything we hoped for with everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable!! Would love to experience it all in the summer weather! Summary: Spent a few days over Christmas and had a lovely quiet time away from everything. We were able to clear a spot on lake and play hockey and enjoyed the hot tub and family time, games, and movies. The house suited us perfectly and definitely had everything we needed. Nice to come with just food and clothes and have everything else available. Lewiston is a neat town and enjoyed a couple hours there too. Host was easy to work with and answered our questions before our stay quickly.

Summary: My brother and I brought our adult sons up for the firearms deer opener. We had a short stay, but the cabin was roomy and had all the amenities we could ask for. Well equipped kitchen with all the small appliances a family could want. Very good internet capability so we were able to watch the fights on Netflix. Also our host let us know in advance that a new hot-tub had been installed outside on back walkout where our sons spent some nice time relaxing with a perfect view of the lake! Great experience overall. Highly recommend this place any time of the year. Hope to be back again for sure.

Summary: This was one of the cleanest rentals we have ever stayed. Communication is quick and easy. We even got recommendations for a festival during our stay. Lake is beautiful and in a friendly very safe neighborhood. Plenty of pool towels were provided. There are some dirt roads in the area, but these can be avoided. Wonderful relaxing stay. My teens loved fishing and kayaking on the lake.
